The Power of Perspective

Cosmetology is the business of beauty. It is creative, technical and subject to multiple governmental regulations. My job is to guide you through the smoke and mirrors.
Forensic Investigation is the tool utilized to discover the facts that form the basis of your case.

I have developed my own forensic investigative techniques which I use to formulate my opinions:

1.
 Observing from the neutral perspective

I review all materials from multiple sources including product instructions, depositions, documents, industry manuals and regulations.

I proceed to create a timeline replicating the events surrounding the incident from start to finish, including pre-and-post events. I thoroughly examine the timeline paying special attention to the testimony given by those who were present at the time of the incident.  By employing this methodology and maintaining the perspective of the neutral observer, I begin to gather the facts that will be helpful in formulating my opinion.

2.   Asking Questions, How did this happen? What could or should have been done differently?

I revisit the incident again, thoroughly from the perspective of each party participant.
I question the facts from each point of view: What actually happened here?  If this incident were to be replicated, What would have to occur?

As I am replicating the incident, I focus on existing testimony; conflicting testimonies, inconsistent testimonies and corroborating testimonies. I organize the facts creating a chronological timeline of Who, What, and Where surrounding the incident. Utilizing this approach, I find why the incident occurred, identify any procedural steps that may have been missed as well as that may require further research and investigation.

3.  Determining  How do I summarize and communicate this incident in a way that is clear and understandable to the legal professional?

I review all the data, facts and evidence one more time from the perspective of the neutral observer. I ask, Have all the questions been answered in such a way that explains the result? Is there anything unanswered?  As my summary and report are written I remove cosmetology jargon. I conclude with a facts check and work with my paralegal to ensure proper legal formatting is in place.

This process and analytical approach dramatically improves the presentation of the case in a written report or oral testimony.
